About The Owners - Franz (IV) & Michelle Workman

The two, yep only two people behind Cedar Mountain Candle.

IV & Michelle Workman

We were both born and raised in West Virginia (Go Mountaineers)! Both of us were raised on farms and we adore the farm lifestyle. The longer we live away from the slow paced lifestyle, the more we really miss it. Our long-term plan is to get right back to farm life by having a farm to call our own in a few years.

We currently live in Las Vegas and stationed at Nellis AFB, but we have called many places "home". Previously moving to Las Vegas, we lived in Valdosta, Ga for about 6 years. Make no mistake, I firmly believe "home" is where your mom & dad are located ... and that will always be West Virginia!

Cedar Mountain, Utah

We love Utah! Let me say that again... we LOVE Utah! It's our playground about every weekend. We escape to our little oasis on Cedar Mountain every chance we get. Duck Creek Village is our home away from home and close to the most gorgeous scenery. Zion National Park, Bryce Canyon National Park, Cedar Breaks National Monument and Brian Head Ski Resort are all in our backyard. We love it so much, we named our candle company after it! If you have never been, you should put it on your list of places to visit. The people who live there are some of the nicest people you will ever meet!

Meet Apollo & Rikka

These are our "children". Our home started out with the rule that dogs were not allowed on the couch. That rule clearly didn't last long. I do have at admit, I look forward to snuggling up with my puppies every night on the couch. There isn't any room left by the time we get all of us on the couch, but the cramped space is totally worth it. Look at that smiling face and tell me how you could say no to those eyes pleading for a belly rub? Rikka is the 1st and 3rd picture and is 5 years old. Apollo is the middle picture and is 7 years old. I guess you could call them our "assistants". They make sure they assist in laying down at the most inconvenient space every time we are pouring candles (which is daily.)
