Our Story

Cedar Mountain Candle began in 2017 with a simple idea: to create candles we felt good about burning in our own home.

What started as a personal project quickly grew as friends and family began asking for candles of their own. As we learned more about the ingredients commonly used in traditional candle making, we became increasingly intentional about what went into ours. That commitment became the foundation of Cedar Mountain Candle—to create beautifully scented, thoughtfully made candles using quality ingredients and a cleaner approach to home fragrance.

Before long, word began to spread. What started around our kitchen table grew organically into a small business, then into wholesale partnerships with retailers across the country. Orders began arriving daily, and Cedar Mountain Candle officially came to life.

Rooted in Country. Inspired by Home.

The country lifestyle has always been part of who we are. We both grew up on farms in West Virginia, where we learned the value of hard work, simplicity, and taking pride in what you create. Those roots continue to influence everything from our fragrances and vessels to the warm, welcoming feeling we want our products to bring into your home.

Our journey eventually took us across the country to Las Vegas, where we spent 13 years while stationed at Nellis Air Force Base. Today, we're back on the East Coast and closer to our West Virginia roots, carrying with us the experiences, places, and people that have shaped Cedar Mountain Candle along the way.

Every product we create is approached with care and attention to detail. While the company has grown far beyond those first candles we made for ourselves, our philosophy remains much the same: create products we would be proud to use in our own home and proud to share with yours.

Why Cedar Mountain?

Some of our favorite memories have been made on Cedar Mountain in southern Utah. It became our place to escape, recharge, and spend time surrounded by the incredible landscapes of the American West. With Zion and Bryce Canyon nearby, it is a place that has continually inspired us with its beauty, ruggedness, and sense of home.

So, when it came time to give our little candle company a name, Cedar Mountain Candle felt like the natural choice.

Today, that name represents much more than a place. It represents where we've been, where we come from, and the life we've built along the way.
